Life After the Nursing Home

Hello Everyone,

First a link from my sponsors. https://t-adbar.com/_wozu

A lot has happened in my life since I last talked to you. My 97 year young mom has moved into a nursing home. She is alert and OK with this move. This frees me up to travel and enjoy life. I was spending 24/7 at her place taking care of her. Mom was the one that wanted the nursing home so Paul would not be spending all his time with her. Done Deal! Check that off the To-Do-List.

The first thing I did after mom moved was go to a Square Dance Convention in Portland Maine. This was a three day dance festival with friends and dancers. For me it only lasted two days. Had two delicious meals of fried food. The next day I was in the Maine Hospital to have my Gall Bladder removed. Lesson learned. Easy on the fried food. Another two days in the hospital and I was ready to go back to Boston MA. Getting my car and my fiancee back without me driving was a problem. Travel Insurance kicked in and saved the day. Even if it was 10 days before my car actually arrived at home.

My summer has been great. Music festivals. Nightlife excitement in Boston. All sorts of dancing lessons. Good food at great restaurants even if it is NOT fried food. Took in the beach scene at Hampton Beach NH. Had some evening walks along the Boston Harbor with my lovely lady. Have recuperated fully from my Gall Bladder issue. I have joined a gym that I visit almost every day. All in all it has been a great Summer.

The other thing that happened Is I sold my house of 40 plus years. I also divorce of 30 plus years. It is sad and happy to move onto a new phase of life. I am still friends with my divorced lady. I have been watching my house get torn apart and rebuilt. I have a chunk of money from the sale of the house. I am now really starting to feel like I am retired.

Now is the time to start doing those retired events. I am heading to London England with my new fiancee! I have never been to London. This should be fun. let me know if you have any suggestions of places to see while in London England.

Remember to always stay happy and keep on Traveling.
