Alaska Here I Come!

First a link from my sponsors. https://t-adbar.com/_wozu

I wanted to travel but I wanted to be safe. Travel outside of the USA did not feel safe. Travel inside the USA felt somewhat safer but very busy. The compromise was a road trip in Alaska!

The travel from Boston to Alaska was the scary part for Covid. Airport and Planes were crowded. Yes everyone was wearing the Masks but it still felt scary. Still the easy way to get to Alaska.

We did make it to Anchorage Alaska, Rented a car, And started our two week road trip. Wow! is the best way to describe the beauty of Alaska. The fjords. The lakes. The mountains. The flowers. The sea. The wildlife. It really is an amazing place to visit.

The two highlights of the trip was a nine hour boat trip and a one and half hour plan ride.

The boat ride left from Seward Alaska and visited fjords and glaciers. We saw marine life all over the place. Saw the whales but it was from a distance. I have been on a whale watch years ago when the whale was very close to the boat. Another amazing sight.

The plane ride was a small ten seat plane that flew around Mt Denali and landed on a glacier. When was the last time you walked on a glacier and watched the sun set over the magnificence of Mt Denali? Never done that? Try it, you will love the experience.

This was a fantastic trip during the times of Covid. Yes we did have some Covid issues but we still made it home Covid free. For us a road trip was the way to go. Not a tour package or a cruise ship. Just the two of us and the wide open road filled with the beauty of nature mile after mile.

Ended the trip with a 22 hour travel day back to Boston. A long day to end a two week road trip in the largest state in the USA!

Add Alaska to your Bucket List. Absolutely worth the effort to travel to Alaska.

Travel Safe and Travel happy.
